Welcome to the Jackson Academy of Tae Kwon Do. By your child participating in our program, you can expect that your child will learn numerous self defense techniques that can be easily used if necessary, while having fun and making friends in a safe, clean , and positive environment. We offer classes five days per week, for which your child is welcome to attend all five days, with no extra charge. As lessons continue, your child will earn achievement stripes that will be placed on his/her belt in recognition of accomplishments. The importance of school work and good grades are also emphasized. This type of recognition will raise your child's self confidence, as they perform their newly learned techniques in front of their classmates and friends. The importance of becoming a leader and not a follower is frequently discussed in class especially in the area of saying "no" to negative peer pressure, and by having respect and integrity at all times. The dangers of drugs and alcohol are also frequently discussed during classes to better solidify the groundwork that parents and teachers have already begun.
We are committed to providing quality martial arts instruction to each and every student. All students can try out our classes for two weeks, free of charge. There are never any contracts or hidden charges at our school. Never a fee for testing, registration or even Black Belt testing. There is absolutely no high pressure salesmanship at our school. Since we do not have contracts, all of our students attend our school because they want to, not because they are held by a contract. Parents sit in the same room with the students, so you can see and hear everything that the instructor says and does with the students. No separate room, looking at your child through a small window, as in other martial arts schools.
We place a strong emphasis on discipline and respect. Our school is not an assembly line for Black Belts. We have, in the past, stopped accepting new students to keep our classes at an appropriate teaching size, to ensure that all students obtain the proper attention they deserve.
Learning, while having fun in a safe environment is the key to all our work. Our teaching is done as if we were working with our own family.
Our students and parents are our best references! Come see for yourself. No salesman will ever try to make you join or stay at our school. You do not need an appointment. Please feel free to walk in and watch any class at your convenience. It is your child, and you must be happy at our school. We look forward to serving you.
